Dr. Ganesh Chander Shrotriya, Chairman Kisan Sanchar
Dr.Ganesh Chander Shrotriya is chairman Kisan Sanchar and is an Agronomist by qualification and holds M. Sc. Ag. and a Ph.D. degree in Agronomy.
He has wide experience in agriculture and rural development. In his professional career of over 56 years, he has served the Department of Agriculture-Government of Rajasthan, Hindustan Copper Limited (Government of India Undertaking), Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA), Nigeria (West Africa), Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), Potash Promotion Project (Project of International Potash Company, Moscow) in various capacities.
Dr. Shrotriya has life long experience in Content Planning, Developing Liaison and Linkages for Content Sourcing, Establishing and Maintaining a Content Management System, Monitoring Content Dissemination, and Evaluating the Content function of the organization.
Dr. Shrotriya is a Fellow of the Indian Society of Agronomy and is also associated with several national and international organizations as a consultant, advisor, patron, trainer, life member, etc.
He is an established communicator and has widely used ICT tools, including Radio, TV, films, print media, and inter-personal communication medium for information dissemination to rural communities.
He has more than 100 published papers and articles, scripted almost 20 documentaries, edited several books and proceedings, and participated in a large number of national and international training, seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Sandeep Singh
Sandeep Singh MCA is key information architect at Kisan Sanchar. He is a seasoned software engineer having 18 years of professional experience in developing information engines and high quality delivery systems.
He is a natural leader and have great command on his work. He is a profound enabler and team leader. He is giving shape to the Kisan Sanchar Flagship Program of providing weather intelligence to 2.5 Lakh Gram Panchayats in 6000 blocks of India.
He comes from a farming family background and has great faith that authentic and actionable knowledge available at right time is a key enabler to farmers for improving their productivity and profitability.
Nisha Kaushik
Nisha Kaushik Head Admin Desk Kisan Sanchar
Nisha Kaushik is a Post Graduate in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, Haryana. She is heads the Admin Desk Kisan Sanchar and manages all the communication being sent to farmers from all the desks of Kisan Sanchar. She possesses excellent drafting skills in Hindi, English, and Punjabi, and she has good experience in Publishing, Film Production activities. She has good communication skills and handled big assignments in the past. She has exposure to handling international projects of international organizations. She has a great understanding of the information needs of the rural communities.
Sh. Rajender Verma
Rajendra Verma holds a postgraduate degree in Hindi and is a renowned creative artist. He possesses a deep understanding of the Hindi language, the Haryanvi dialect, and the rich traditions of local folklore and indigenous knowledge.
From 2000 to 2021, he worked with the Dainik Bhaskar Group, where he made significant contributions in the field of creative content and communication.
Earlier, from 1992 to 2000, Mr. Verma worked with the celebrated Hindi novelist Ved Prakash Sharma at Tulsi Pocket Books, Meerut, gaining extensive experience in Hindi publishing and creative writing.
Mr. Rajendra Verma currently serves as the Chief Creative Artist at Kisan Sanchar, where he leads the development of creative communication and content for farmer outreach initiatives.
Divya Goswami
Divya Goswami serves as a Director at Kisan Sanchar. She holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, Haryana. She has over 20 years of professional experience in business administration, organisational management, and strategic operations. Her extensive experience contributes to the effective management, administration, and growth of Kisan Sanchar.
Kamal Jeet
Kamal Jeet is the Founder Director of Kisan Sanchar, working to empower farmers and rural communities through timely, accessible, and actionable information. With a background in Food Technology from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, and more than two decades of experience in organic agriculture, rural communication, and development initiatives, he has been actively working at the intersection of technology, agriculture, and community empowerment.
Since 2015, Kamal Jeet has been associated with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) as a volunteer dissemination partner, working to make weather information more accessible and useful for farmers. Under his leadership, Kisan Sanchar has developed and expanded initiatives such as Green Alerts and Panchayat Mausam Sewa, using digital platforms, WhatsApp, SMS, voice messages, and other communication channels to deliver weather intelligence and agricultural information at the grassroots level.
Kamal Jeet has played a key role in developing a block-level communication network covering all 7,373 blocks across India, enabling farmers and rural communities to receive localized weather updates and advisories. His work focuses on converting complex technical information into simple, understandable, and actionable messages that can support better decisions in agriculture and rural life.
His areas of interest and work include weather intelligence, climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable farming, soil health, regenerative agriculture, crop-residue management, rural communication, and the use of technology and artificial intelligence for rural development.
Through Kisan Sanchar, Kamal Jeet continues to work toward building an inclusive information ecosystem where farmers can access the right information at the right time and use knowledge and technology to improve productivity, reduce risks, conserve natural resources, and strengthen rural livelihoods.
