Panchayat Mausam Sewa stands as the flagship program of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), operating under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. Supported by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, this pioneering initiative was inaugurated by Sh. Jagdeep Dhankar, the Vice President of India, on January 15, 2024, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Dedicated to serving farmers, this website offers real-time weather alerts and insightful articles covering topics such as air quality, pollution, and conservation efforts for the environment and wildlife. Developed by Green Alerts Mausam Sewa, operating under the Private Public Partnership Policy of the Government of India, the technical expertise of Silex Softwares Ambala has been instrumental in crafting all the platform’s features.

Kisan Sanchar, a committed volunteer organization, has been partnering with the India Meteorological Department since 2015 to distribute weather information and Agro Advisories. Now, they have voluntarily assumed the task of rolling out the Panchayat Mausam Sewa program across the nation.

Panchayat Mausam Sewa helps Sarpanches, Farmers, and the general public to get access to the probability of rainfall, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Minimum and Maximum Temperatures, Relative Humidity, and Cloud Cover Density for the next 5 days. The weather forecast is updated between 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The website also provides Agro Advisories for farmers as per the weather forecast.
